Michael F. Taylor and Rick Stotelmyer

Michael Taylor and Master Carpenter, Rick Stottlemyer, who has been with the company for over 30 years.

For 40 years Michael Taylor and his crew have been working in Jefferson County and the surrounding areas. They have built, restored, and renovated countless homes, and businesses.

Starting with a small carpentry crew, Michael has grown his business to become a full service General Contracting Firm. Michael F. Taylor, Inc. works with a select group of subcontractors, some of which have been working with him, since the beginning of the business. The scope of projects for the company have varied from small to large, from simple to complex. They have created beautiful custom homes and additions. They have replaced windows, skylights, siding, and decks. They have remodeled kitchens and baths and renewed historic homes and additions. They have rebuilt log houses, created Asian gates, built horse barns, and yard structures. The company has built, Modern, Mission, Craftsman, Traditional and "New Old" style houses. They also were the builder dealer for Acorn, Deck House and Dwell homes for many years.

Michael looks at all jobs as challenging. Large or small, the crew will give each element the same attention to detail that has built their reputation for quality workmanship. Attention to client wishes and wants, focus on critical details, and professional expertise separate Michael F. Taylor Inc. from other general contractors.

Their office is located in the Mill Run Building in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and open by appointment.
